Features:

  • Leaves long, sword-shaped, in dense clusters mint green in colour with chocolate-burgundy stripes down their centres. When mature enough panicles of fragrant ivory-white flowers are produced during the summer which are great for attracting bees.

Care:

Prefers a sunny or partly shaded position in well drained soil. Will tolerate occasional frost and coastal conditions. In severe frosts / wind wrapping in horticultral fleece may be necessaery in exposed sites.

Remove leaves as they fade and fertilise annually with a long term slow release fertiliser.
